Bronze Publishing Inc.

Bronze Publishing Inc. is a picture book and children’s book publisher established in 1983.
In our early years, we published literary works, a series of biographies, and other general-interest titles. In 1990, we published our first picture book, Doodle Book: Taro Gomi 50%. At an extraordinary 368 pages, the book invited readers to draw directly on its pages and attracted widespread attention for its unusual format. It has since been translated into 18 languages and remains a perennial favorite with readers around the world.

This marked a turning point, and we gradually shifted our focus towards picture books. Today, we publish around ten new titles a year and our catalogue in Japan now includes more than 750 titles. Since 2004, we have exhibited at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair every year, and we continue to devote our energies to publishing internationally.

Our work is rooted in a deep affinity with, and respect for the worlds each creator brings to the page. We make every book with care and passion and are committed to bringing it to booksellers and readers with sincerity. We will continue to create picture books that spark children’s curiosity.
